In vivo renal clearance, biodistribution, toxicity of gold nanoclusters.

Gold nanoparticles have shown great prospective in cancer diagnosis and therapy, but they can not be metabolized and prefer to accumulate in liver and spleen due to their large size. The gold nanoclusters with small size can penetrate kidney tissue and have promise to decrease in vivo toxicity by renal clearance. In this work, we explore the in vivo renal clearance, biodistribution, and toxicit...

Recyclable fluorescent gold nanocluster membrane for visual sensing of copper(II) ion in aqueous solution.

Recently, metal-selective fluorescent chemosensors have attracted intense attention for their simple and real-time tracking of metal ions in environmental samples. However, most of the existing fluorescent sensors are one-off sensors and thus suffer from large amount of reagent consumption, significant experimental cost and raising the risk of environmental pollution. In this paper, we develope...

Microwave Aided Synthesis of Silver and Gold Nanoparticles and their Antioxidant, Antimicrobial and Catalytic Potentials

Here we reported the extremely simple one-pot synthesis of silver and gold nanoparticles in a rapid manner. Aqueous leaf extract of the most admired energy plant Jatropha curcas is used as reducing agent here. An alternate and safe energy source, house-hold microwave oven constituted the reaction chamber. Silver and gold nanoparticles were characterized by UV-visible, FT-IR, Powder XRD techniqu...
